Imagine a place where you can go to explore art in an easy way, without having to sign up for a series of classes or invest in materials that look fascinating, but that you may not use again. What if you could go to that place any time you want to, and find it filled with colorful, fun supplies - paints, papers, beads, tiles - and someone would show you how to use them? What if you could sit down for an hour and just play?
What if you could sit down for an hour and just play? And then, if you wanted to, you could purchase materials to continue your creative adventures at home?
This was our vision more than a decade ago, and today that vision is stronger than ever. We now have two physical locations, serving families and friends in the communities that surround the towns of Arlington and Franklin, Massachusetts; and an online store, ARTBEATgifts.com that serves you nationwide. We are family-run and staffed by creative souls who share our vision.

Bessette Realty is a family owned and operated business, founded by Robert and Margaret Loretta Bessette over 50 years ago. Mr. "B" as he was referred to around the office, was an active participant until his passing in 1994 at the age of 86. Mrs. "B" was his backbone. Together they raised three daughters and one son Bobby. As many Arlingtonians remember he was taken at an early age of 17 from a car accident. Their daughters, Alice, Lola and Jane all took a role in Bessette Realty.

A classic small-town movie theater, The Capitol is a gorgeous old landmark that is itself a sight to see. It also happens to be one of the few bargain cinemas in the area, showing a wide variety of month-old mainstream films daily at low prices. Admission $4.75 before 6pm M-F and $6.50 for night shows and weekends; seniors and children under 12 before 6pm $4.75. This section contains information from Harvard Student Agencies' Unofficial Guide to Life at Harvard.

An unassuming storefront appearing more as a produce only grocery is your ticket to Greece. Christo's Fruit Market is a tiny corner market with lots to offer. Fresh, delivered daily produce at reasonable prices makes up the majority of the store. Venturing behind the produce reveals a whole other world. Greek favorites like imported yogurt, taziki, and kalamata olives are some of the finds. Italians will love the large selection of imported meats and cheeses. While most of the food is imported, the prices are reasonable. Also of note, credit card purchases require a minimum $10 charge.

Monroe Saltworks offers more than just pottery, and it's the offbeat and sometimes just plain strange items that draw customers to this unique retailer. Unusual jewelry, reconstructed bags, old-fashioned toys, and unique soaps are just the beginning of their wares, and new items spring up in their inventory all the time. Prices are reasonable, and this is the perfect place to find a gift for that person who you think has everything. They're open late Friday and Saturday so you can go in after your movie at the Capital gets out.
